This book jumped off the shelf at me because the pictures were so pretty. I had such a nice time looking at this, with so many ideas for construction and design. It definitely made me want to make cards again!

What a great book! There are so many different kinds of flowers exampled here, I think it would be great to own this book. I loved the examples and tips for layout.

I was curious to see what kind of techniques my favorite painting lady would suggest when it comes to quilting. It appears it's based on fusabile web and grids, and then once everything is laid out, it's sewn. That seems a little less fun to me, than actually piecing squares, although I'm sure it's much easier. It was an interesting concept, but I think I'm more likely to start out with a traditional quilt when I start back up.

Creative Craft Workshop

This was a general crafting book I got out of the library to read, and I was interested to see a variety of different crafting ideas. I was very surprised to recognize some of the pictures and crafts! Apparently, some of the projects are also published in the "BBest Ever Craft Project Book" which I puchased off the discount shelf at Borders a few years ago! So actually, my favorite ideas out of this book were actually the ones int he book I own :) This book is divided into 5 main sections: wirework, mosaics, tinwork, creative plasterwork, polymer claywork. Even with my lack of experience in most of these areas, the wirework was probably the most interesting. I'd like to do mosaics, but it's a little harder to find things to do with this. Wirework is a little more versitile for things in my home.

Looking at the pretty books on the shelf at the library, and this jumped out. These are really special arrangements for your house, noething really for everyday. Beautiful use of fine china and ways to make napkin rings to match. And then a lot of flower arranging to go along with the table settings.
