I finished this chair. I bought it at the thrift store on the cheap, gutted it, replaced the stretchers with oak, painted it (first cream, and then settled on blue), retied the springs, and finally upholstered it. I made cushions for it because I felt like it needed them, and I stuffed them with loose foam. Overall, I'm satisfied with the result. I've also been knocking some other chores out before it gets cold. I replaced some loose bricks on my back porch, repainted my kitchen cabinets, and planted the fall flowers in my front yard. I have plans on making new, cold-air-fighting drapes next.
